Dr. Dianne McAdams-Jones, RN, CHSE, SFHEA
Founder of Just Us Socializing
Dr. McAdams-Jones has worked extensively with law enforcement in Utah County since 2015 educating on issues of social justice and regularly develops and facilitates MOOCs around social justice issues. She also teaches a 490R offered in the nursing curriculum on social disadvantage. Dr. McAdams-Jones’ research interests include social justice and the use of simulation in education.
Dr. McAdams-Jones has been a practicing registered nurse since graduating from Tuskegee University in 1973 (BSN) and 1977 (M.Ed) prior her commission as Captain in the Army Nurse Corps. She was deployed to the European Theater assigned to the 97th General Hospital, Frankfurt West Germany where for four years she served as Nurse Manager under the direction of then, Colonel but who advanced to Brigadier General Clara Adams-Ender.
Captain Dianne went on to serve as Nurse Manager of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center located in Fort Gordon, Georgia until she separated from the US Army. She has been a faculty member of Tuskegee University, her alma mater, adjunct faculty University of Scranton, and currently is a Professor of nursing at Utah Valley University. After leaving the United States Armed Forces, she soon attained the rank of Major in the Army Reserves, United States Army Nurse Corps. Dr. Dianne continued her services as a nurse executive for long term care facilities and as a hospital intensive care nurse in units across the United States.
She earned a doctorate in Health Professions from College of Saint Mary in Omaha, Nebraska and a Post Doctorate in Nursing Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. She is a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE), a Center for Medical Simulation (Harvard) certified instructor and a Senior Fellow in the Higher Education Academy.
Dr. Eunicia Jones, Licensed Psychotherapist, LMFT
Healing Solutions Expert, Visionary Liberation
Dr. Niecie Jones is a trained psychotherapist who specializes in working with African American children, teens, and adults using evidence-based, systems-focused, and narrative practices. She believes strongly in the power of de-constructing and re-constructing the stories of our lives to be more authentic and congruent versions of ourselves. She’s also a creativity coach that uses her natural therapy style to help people tap into their creative selves to live more passionately and go confidently in the direction of their dreams. Dr. Jones furthers her work with the general public in rethinking the thinking of negatively portraying others as well as self.
